Schole Records, home to the likes of recently reviewed releases from Jochen Tiberius Koch, Tim Linghaus, Daisuke Miyatani, Flica and of course label boss Akira Kosemura, have announced the release of the digital Ep “Yearbook”. “Yearbook” which is co-released with 1631 Recordings and features two alternative versions of the tracks “Armour” and “Shadow” alongside the previously unreleased “Yearbook”, sees Kosemura return to pure solo piano music after his “In The Dark Woods” album of 2017 and his recent work on the OWN Network’s “Love Is__” tv show.
“The previously unreleased opening track “Yearbook” is a short minimalist piano piece focusing on the variations of time as the seasons change in the veins of Philip Glass, Nils Frahm or Max Richter. The two other songs include alternative versions of pieces “Amour” & “Shadow”.
The Ep is officially released on October 19, but you can check out “Amour (Alt Version 2018)” below.
